Mark Jansen
Mark Jansen (1965) has been photographing since his early years. Mark prefers to make unpolished, rough images that can have a frayed edge. The photos from this colorful series are therefore not or hardly edited.
The pictures
‘In the autumn of 2019 I was working on a major painting job in a centuries-old farm in the center of Schijndel, Brabant. Doors and jambs had to be stripped of thick, old, crackled layers of paint. The most beautiful colors and shapes then revealed themselves under the sander. Images appeared. Of water, air, snow. Flora and fauna. Maps. You couldn't imagine it so crazy! New landscapes arose from the dust. I couldn't help but capture these before they disappeared again under new layers of paint." This is how the unique series 'dust to dawn, opening doors to new landscapes' was born. Mart's total collection consists of 22 unique photos.
The photo product
Mark's photos are printed on aluminum. A photo on aluminum is full of detail and virtually pixelless, UV resistant and 100% colorfast. That makes this product a real quality product, perfectly suitable for exhibitions.
