Stef Oers
After spending two weeks in Scotland at the age of 40, Stef Oers (1972, Leuven/Belgium) never let go of his camera. His eye had woken up! Stef, emotional, artistic and passionate, shows himself to be a true chameleon both as a person and in his work, and has developed very broadly in the field of photography, among other things. He works as naturally as possible, preferably in black and white, in order to capture the essence of his subject. Since his burnout in 2013, his work has become more expressive and personal. Photographing helps him to freeze time, so that memories are not lost and there is room for processing.
The pictures
These spontaneous portraits of art-loving visitors to one of his exhibitions were all taken within five minutes, without preparation. No makeup, no special effects, no photoshop, no planned action, but pure nature. The large abstract is one of the works in which the people portrayed lost themselves. The great contrast between these art viewers and the work they are looking at is special! Let yourself be enchanted!
